 This week I want to talk about the sound effects and editing of “The Gentleman” the series.

First I want to talk about the producer which is, Christopher Benstead. He is a British film composer, arranger and Academy-Award winning re-recording mixer. Also Collaborating extensively with director Guy Ritchie, Benstead composed the score for the upcoming feature The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, starring Henry Cavill, and the much anticipated Netflix series The Gentlemen, a follow-up to the 2019 film that Benstead also scored.

Now if I want to talk about it personally, I can say it took my interest a lot. Why? Because I think one of the most important elements for a Movie or a series to be completed it needs to have a good soundtrack and sound editing.

In this series we can hear a lot classical music however this classic music has a lot tension and I think for a classic genre it is to fantastic to gives the audience feel stress and exiting feeling. In this movie the composer or in other words the music producer work so well because in the important scenes and actions he could emphasize on the action with the music so successfully and he achieved that in my opinion.

Some part of the series also the producer used rap music or rock. However the main scale is classical music but I think he also in those genres was so successful because next to a classical music in my opinion it’s hard to match a rap music but he could do it and he achieved it. He emphasized on the scene with rap also very clearly and touchable for the audience.

I think one of the reasons that i got fan of this series except the good story and the good production i can say it’s music production was so attractive to me. :D
