last day I went to Anadolu Medeniyetler museum which was about the Stone Age or we can say paleobotanic area and also Byzantine area. it was so interesting for me because history is one of the things that I always loved. imagine! you are seeing some things that belong to people or cultures that lived before us. We can see some art that at that time they didn't know that the things they do one day people call art and it will be so precious to put it in a place which called the museum and it's full of security.
when I went there I saw a lot of things that I studied before but didn't see with my own eyes, such as wall paintings, sculptures, painted dishes or Jewellery. it was so cool!!!
wall paintings were one of the most interesting parts for me because I imagine that at that time people wanted to show their lifestyle and their story and they didn't know what perspective or any professional things to draw and also they didn't have all the colors to paint with it. most of the wall paintings' color is red. they draw animals and their life-like hunting in a basic way to be just understandable.
on the other hand, their sculptures are amazing!! digging a strong stone was not an easy way without technology. they did fine work with elegance on their faces. shaping the curly beard or the lines on their dresses. in addition, in Byzantine areas, sculptures are like Wow amazing!!! how do they dig these amazing-shaped muscles with the least tools??!! how it could be possible? how much does it take to finish?? how hard was it? drawing those muscles first and taking them out on a stone. maybe in this century, it is not a shocking thing but I think at that time discovery of these types of art was an amazing and wonderful thing.
it was fantastic for me!
